I'm happy to say it has been a fun a productive winter and now we're moving in to my favorite time of the year, SUMMER!!!! I'm looking forward to many fun shows with friends and getting out and enjoying this amazing state!!
In October I started a series of benefit concerts at the Spenard Roadhouse. Second Saturday's in Spenard turned out to be a great success with the goal of local musicians and businesses donating their time and goods to benefit local charities. May 8th's Second Saturday will be full of surprises so be sure to make it out!!! It's our last one event before everyone gets busy with summer so don't miss out on your chance to see all these wonderful women perform for a great cause. All proceed will benefit the AWAIC shelter her in anchorage!!

So excited to say the Alaska
Cancer Care Alliance made $4,597!! I thought
everything went wonderfully and it was a
pleasure to collaborate with the musicians,
the Spenard Roadhouse, and the wonderful
crowd! The music was absolutely beautiful
and it was a privilege to get to meet
everyone and hear the stories. Not only did
we get some of the amazing people from the
medical community and people who are
knowledgeable about our program to
participate and support, the music and venue
provided a window to those who might have
never known about what we do and how we
help. If those who came ever need support or
know of someone who does, I feel grateful
that the 2nd Saturdays provided that
opportunity to reach out.
Thank you,
Shelley

I just wanted to touch base with everyone and say that due to your amazing efforts, $1,439 is now on its way to Samoa to assist with the Red Cross relief operations. So many families were devastated by the horrific tsunami – and through the caring generosity of folks like you – the Red Cross was able to be there immediately with emergency relief. Thank you so much for caring!! I am so grateful that my job enables me to meet and work with amazing folks like each of you who truly make the Red Cross mission a reality.

Thanks to
everyone who donated their time and
goods, We couldn't have
done it without
you!
